How It All Began…

At the height of the pandemic, I used my background in family arts engagement to introduce my then 4-year-old son to Jewish tradition at home. Together, we embarked on a year-long quest, crafting activities that brought the weekly Torah portion to life in joyful and accessible ways. We shared our adventures online through a blog called Play-Along Parsha, inspiring hundreds of families and educators to use our materials, too. Along the way, we connected with the Torah stories and each other through the language of play. We became a part of the story, and it became part of us.

Now Let There Be Play expands upon that journey, sharing child-friendly adaptations of every Torah portion and activities to explore at home, in the classroom, or in community.
